Nepali artisans hand-weave this lightweight shawl from soft wearable bamboo fiber. A swift-growing renewable resource and a star of eco-fashion, bamboo fiber is breathable and has an appealing natural sheen. Bamboo stalks are crushed, ground and then dried before spinning into a yarn that is ready for weaving. The fibers are processed using an eco-friendly solution of water and ethanol alcohol called Lyocell processing. Artisans then weave the shawl on a jacquard loom.
