Taken from the eight auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism, the lotus and the “kalash,” or treasure vase, have special significance. The lotus represents purity, compassion and the stainless action of body, speech and mind that lead to happiness and enlightenment. The vase is traditionally jewel-studded gold, which pours forth an endless rain of long life, health and prosperity.
