6:30--8:30 p.m.

Daryl Snider has enjoyed a diverse musical background: Mennonite four-part singing, choirs, men’s quartets, oboe in orchestras, saxophone in jazz and funk bands, and folk-pop groups. Living in Haiti and Brazil has further broadened Daryl’s musical perspective.

In recent years, Daryl has discovered the art of songwriting as a means to process and share life experiences. Daryl participated in the 2013 February Album Writers Month (FAWM), writing 14 songs in a 28 day flurry. While studying for a masters degree at the Center for Justice and Peacebuilding at Eastern Mennonite University, Daryl explored the ways music brings healing, connects people across social divides and plays a role in societal change.

Daryl is currently a member of the band Sopa Sol. Past local groups include Rupa Dupa, Wheatland Chorale, and Done With Therapy.
