Nicole Roberts is currently a sophomore Music Business major at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. There she is involved in The Birn (Berklee Internet Radio Network) as a dj, film club, and Point of Departure vocal jazz ensemble as lead soprano. She also is an active member of Berklee’s music law club through which she participates in the Recording Artist Project in conjunction with Harvard Law School.
As a voice principle, Nicole studies jazz with Patrice Williamson. Prior to her studies at Berklee, she took private lessons under the talents of Bryce Donley. Nicole has enjoyed a 6-year membership with the CPFJ Youth All-Star Band singing and playing saxophone. She graduated from Cedar Crest High School in May of 2012 where she participated in chorus, concert choir, show choir, jazz band, concert band, wind ensemble, orchestra, Tri-M Music Honor Society, and was a drum major for the marching band. She also had the opportunity to participate in many festivals including: county band and choir, district choir and vocal jazz ensemble, and state vocal jazz ensemble.
During her high school career, Nicole also enjoyed participating in the fall plays and was nominated for a Hershey Theatre Apollo Award for her portrayal of nurse Stephanie Dickinson in “Cactus Flower”. She was incredibly honored to be the recipient of the Lebanon PA Harmonia Club Chapter’s ‘Rodney S. Miller Memorial Scholarship’. Some of her musical inspirations include: Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Anita O’Day, Jane Monheit, Julie London, and Chet Baker.
Colin Mekeel of Lancaster, PA plays piano, saxophone and clarinet. A three-time District Jazz Band participant on piano, Colin is a graduate of Manheim Township High School's Class of 2013. Besides accompanying Nicole Roberts, Colin also regularly performs in the area jazz quartet Temple Avenue.
