Two-tone ceramic hand drum used in classical Indian music. Ceramic base has goat skin top and buffalo skin straps. The drum has a “sweet spot” made of iron dust mixed with rice paste, which gives a second tone. The Bauls are wandering musicians of India. They use a variety of drums including the baul drum, also called the doogi drum.

Marge , Centreville, VA: “I bought this drum for my six year old - she loves it and so do I! Even amateurs like us can make good music -just having fun experimenting with the different tones of the drum. I'm very pleased with this purchase.”
Jenna, New Paltz, NY: “I just received my Baya drum as a gift and I am so excited. The drum is truly wonderful and the craftsmanship is fantastic. You can really hear the two tones of the drum and can feel the vibrations while playing. Thank you so much. ”
