Traditional Acehan embroidery supports tsunami refugee artisans. Our artisan partner Pekerti organized a group of artisans in a refugee camp in Aceh province to produce these beautiful purses. Aceh, on the northern tip of Sumatra, suffered some of the worst damage of the December 2004 tsunami.
