SKU# 6100070

Potters descended from pre-Columbian peoples have worked for centuries in Chulucanas, on Peru’s north coast. They create this lamp’s unique design with clay-based natural substances called “ngobes.” Artisans use multiple firings and paint circles with ngobes and diluted clay slip. Firing with burning mango leaves creates the dark background color.
