Description

Handcrafted from sweet-scented cinnamon bark, with an owl carved on the lid. These boxes are traditionally used to store loose tea, or as gift boxes. Aromatic cinnamon bark is carved by artisans in Da Nang province, Vietnam. After removing tree bark, artisans dry, shape and carve it. Cinnamon trees have a growth cycle of five years. When they reach maturity, the bark is used for crafts and the wood is burned as cooking fuel or ground into cinnamon dust.

I like to make my own masala chai mix, and store it in the cinnamon box. The chai picks up subtle cinnamon scents that enhances it. It is also decorative and beautiful to display; the same cannot be said for many tea caddies....
