A smooth band of copper for your wrist, highlighted with inlaid black ebony designs. Tuareg cuff bracelet from West Africa features rounded ball ends.

Tuareg artisans craft this copper jewelry with ebony powder. They grind ebony wood to a very fine sand-like size, and then glue the particles into the groove in the copper. The Tuareg are found in Burkina Faso, Niger, Mali and Chad. Traditionally nomadic herders, some Tuareg now cultivate crops in fertile oases, or work as traders.
