Ward off chill in this alpaca fiber hat with earflaps and Fair Isle design, handcrafted by artisans in village of Katakora, Bolivia. Artisans have joined together to create Chojna Pampita, an informal association dedicated to earning income through sales of knitted and woven alpaca products. Alpacas are raised in the foothills of Andes, near Lake Titicaca in Peru and Bolivia. Alpaca fiber is warmer and finer than sheep wool, and is hypoallergenic.
