Enjoy a perfect pie made farm fresh. Hand-formed pie plate is crafted by the artisans of Mrinmoy Pottery, Bangladesh. Includes recipes for apple pie, coconut chicken curry pot pie and pie crust. Wash before using.

Mrinmoy has been a potters’ village for 14 generations—the word mrinmoy means “things made of clay.” Potters learn to work with clay from their family and pass the skill down to their children. Clay is collected from the river bed, shaped by hand and fired in wood kilns built for each firing. Darkened areas found on some items are not imperfections, but a result of pit-fired production. Amount of iron oxide in the clay and level of oxygen in the kiln can intensify colors of the final product.
