This jade-green shawl, made by artisans of the Craft Resource Center in Kolkata, India, is soft against the skin and easy to wear. Woven from viscose, it is an affordable yet classic accent to your wardrobe.

The powerloom industry in Punjab, where this scarf is made, is largely unregulated and dominated by large factories. This scarf, however, is sourced from a small, family-owned business that pays close attention to worker well-being. All of the dyeing is done in-house, and there is an effluent treatment plant to ensure proper treatment and disposal of wastewater and chemicals. The yarn used contains banana and pineapple fiber.
