  • Charming pins - now works of art

When I was chairperson for Fellowship Commission at church, two gals never let me down. They were always there to help me - serving the Daycare staff, setting up for fellowship meals, hanging the greens - you name it. For "Girls Night Out" (when I treated them to a meal), I presented them with these pins. I put them in a little frame (glass removed). I covered the back cardboard with velvet fabric and added a ribbon loop for the pin back. The gals can wear the pins - or proudly display their "reward". I have been in both of their homes and the framed little works of art are proudly displayed in a place of honor for all to see. It isn't too hard for me to come up with "excuses" to buy little Fair Trade gifts for family and friends. Another friend of mine went out to dinner with us, so I gave her a framed little cat pin (same artisan group).
