STORY
May the pig of good fortune smile on you! This delightful terracotta pig is made with clay dug from the mountainside near the village of Pomaire, Chile. This clay is traditionally used to create earthenware cookware used over an open fire, but in this instance it is transformed into a "chanchito" a little three-legged pig. These are given to friends as tokens of love and good fortune. Lucky Pigs are smaller than they appear, fitting in the palm of your hand.

DETAILS
  • Terra cotta
  • Due to the nature of the terracotta clay and the technique used in this handicraft, expect tonal variations from terracotta to black.
  • 2Lx2Wx2H inches
  • Made in Chile

Cute and earthy

I love this little pig. It sits on my side table in the den and adds a cute earthiness to the room.

I love these good luck pigs!!

I first discovered the good luck pig in November 2022 at a fair trade market in Colorado Springs. Since then, I have bought at least 15 of them online (no joke!) because they’re adorable!! They make perfect stocking stuffers and presents anytime of year!! I keep a few on hand to give out as presents!! I love them!! When you buy them online, they don’t come with an explanation of what the pig is about like the market did. So, I got on my computer, typed out the explanation and printed a bunch of copies. No big deal. It wasn’t hard!! Everyone I’ve given a pig to loves them!! I even kept one for myself!! If you’re thinking about buying a pig, please do. You will be so happy that you did!!
