Welcome to Ten Thousand Villages Greenville!

Ten Thousand Villages Greenville is a Non-Profit Fair Trade Retailer who is part of the Ten Thousand Villages store network throughout the United States and Canada. Ten Thousand Villages' mission is to provide vital, fair income to people in developing countries by selling their handicrafts and telling their stories in North America. We work with artisans who would otherwise be unemployed or underemployed. This income helps pay for food, education, health care and housing.

Do you need a speaker for your...

Women’s groups, Senior Adult groups, Wednesday Night Suppers, or Youth groups?

Learn about:

…..a company named Silence that employs artisans who are deaf in a country where
disabled people rarely find work.
…..bullet casings from war that have been recycled into beautiful beads and made into
…a company, Cards from Africa, that only employs those that have lost both parents
to conflict or disease and are in charge of raising their younger siblings. Did you know
that Cards from Africa hires a “grandmother figure” to come to the workplace to
“mother” these orphans?

Let Helen Vanvick, Marketing and Communications Manager for Ten Thousand Villages
of Greenville, give a presentation on the mission of Ten Thousand Villages and its
