Flowered ceramic bell ornaments, handcrafted and meticulously hand-painted by artisans with Craft Link in Vietnam. Influenced by Ming Dynasty porcelain, Vietnam’s blue and white ceramics have been sought after throughout the world since the 15th century.
Today, potters blend artistic skill with time-honored techniques in the famous pottery village of Bat Trang, just east of Hanoi, where ceramics skills are passed down through the generations. Artisans pour clay into molds, carefully remove the pieces when they are set, apply paint and glaze by hand, and, when dry, fire the pottery at very high temperatures, giving it strength and durability.
