Handmade jatropha soap comes wrapped in its own banana leaf, a lovely gift. Our jatropha soap is handmade by artisans in Arusha, Tanzania, using the oil of jatropha seeds harvested in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. This seed oil produces a silky smooth soap. It is also used as a biofuel for lamps and cook stoves by rural Tanzanians.
