Fair Trade and Lawrence go together like a carriage and a horse. We love being part of this community of ethical consumers. We try every day to add value and meaning to the community with our Fair Trade, handmade, ecofriendly products and Lawrence has been loving us back.
So much so, that we have decided to expand the sales floor! We want to utilize more of the back of the store for additional product and expand our product selection with products such as musical instruments. We are also going to host “Trunk shows” to showcase other Fair Trade vendors and products.
All of this will take money, and as a non-profit, we are starting a Fund Raising campaign beginning today. We want to raise $12,000 by October 1st, in time for the Fair Trade Month kick-off. The money we collect in donations will go to buying new fixtures, paint, slat wall etc. In our store we have put pictures of what we would like to buy.
You can help us achieve our goal! With a donation of at least $5.00 you can buy a personalized (paper) brick with your name on it and we're going to start covering our walls until we achieve our goal. We will accept any size donation of course and you do not have to have your name on a brick if you want to support Fair Trade in a more discrete way ;-). Those donations are tax deductible.
Donations can be made in store or online @ http://www.gofundme.com/cp3rpg
I hope together we can increase Fair Trade in Lawrence.
