“Be mine. I’m yours,” declares this fold-out red and pink valentine card. Eighteen linked hearts, including scrollwork paper decorations, express your affection. Card comes in its own valentine paper envelope/box.

Rural women artisans working with Joberpar Enterprise use water hyacinth, a weed that chokes waterways throughout the country, to produce this paper. After soaking and pounding the fiber to make a pulpy mass, artisans add it to water and stir until it is smooth. Each large sheet of paper is made individually by lifting the pulp in a thin layer on a framed screen. The paper is placed in the sun to dry, after which it is ready for use in products such as this.
