Created by artisans working with Asha Handicrafts Association, based in Mumbai, India, using the ancient kalamkari technique. Kalamkari art has evolved through trial and error over the last 3,000 years. Techniques of craftsmanship in Kalamkari were handed down within families from generation to generation.
