How I love to wear this product. . . . .
When I read the story about this necklace, I was particularly touched. I cried. Cambodian artisans hammering Trees of Life out of brass shell casings. I thought about my friend Diane, who is a social justice activist and I wanted to buy it for her, but then I saw the price (at that time) of $38. I thought, well, Diane is a ten-buck friend, not a 38-dollar friend. If I saw something that cost ten bucks and thought of her I'd snatch it up, but not $38. I started to put it back, then I thought, "No. I like it too." So I bought it and wore it 28 times (marking the box with a tally). Then I gave it to Diane, my ten-buck friend. She loved it, and the story behind it of the artists forging trees of life from casings.
I have a lot of ten-buck friends, so now I routinely own one of these and "work on it" for a different friend. Each time I wear it, I mark a tally and think of that friend fondly. I count each wearing as $1, then gift it when it gets to $10 remaining. This is as fun for me as it is for them.
Glad I purchased this item.. . . . .
It is beautiful! I would order this item again.
