Handcrafted textile backgammon game makes a great travel game. The Dhaka weave board doubles as a textile pouch with zipper and magnetic snap closure on back. The 30 black and white square bone playing pieces and two dice fit in a small drawstring bag. Instructions included.

Traditional Nepalese Dhaka weaving is characterized by colorful woven geometric designs. Using wood and bamboo looms, artisans produce 6 to 8 inches of fabric per day in this laborious technique. All designs are laid out from memory, without charts, and are dependent on artisans’ creative skills and planning.
