In neutral stripes of variegated widths, this textile set includes four cocktail napkins, crafted of 100% hand-loomed cotton, offering a beautiful balance between rustic and elegant. The coordinating strap with coconut shell button gives this set a truly gift-worthy presentation. These textiles come from our artisan partner MESH and are crafted by the BMK Ashram workshop, a leprosy colony with a handloom weaving workshop. The income from their products is shared by the entire colony about 90 adults and 200 children, because many members cannot work due to disabilities, or have difficulty finding work simply due to the stigma of being from a leprosy affected family.
MESHMESH (Maximizing Employment to Serve the Handicapped) is a nonprofit organization that works with artisans with disabilities, many of whom are former leprosy patients. Read more.
