Let this airy angel of light top your holiday Christmas tree, or perch delicately on the mantle. Handcrafted from sinamay in the Philippines. Sinamay is a natural woven fiber made from the stripped fiber of the abaca tree. Abaca is a banana-like tree with a slender trunk and thin leaves. The fine strands of fibers are woven into fabrics with a wooden loom. The resulting woven fabric is called sinamay. Sinamay fibers are also used for making cordage and ropes. Decorative use only.
