STORY
Often used for meditation, the music of a singing bowl is meant to soothe your soul, cleanse your heart and free your mind of worries. To make the bowl sing, first tap it. Firmly hold the smooth part of the stick upright against the bowl and move it slowly around the outside of the bowl in a circular motion keeping firm contact with the bowl's surface. The bowl will start to resonate.

a cherished gift

I bought one to commemorate a meaningful weekend reunion with my two brothers in DC. The next week my 9 year old grandson visited me, and he was so mesmerized by playing the bowl, I sent one to him. Then a friend in distress visited, was comforted by the sound and I mailed her one. All of us feel connected by it and use it every day. A remarkable surprise for us all. Thanks so much to the artisans.

Beautiful tone and size

I use this singing bowl regularly with preschoolers in my outdoor nature preschool classroom. The tone is beautiful and carries clearly for a good distance through the woods. We use our bowl as a signal to help the children know when it is time for things to happen in our classroom. It is also the perfect size for the children to hold and use when it is there turn to chime the signals for the class.
