For the adventurer, inspiring wanderlust and expressing your love for cultures around the world, hang the Wonderful World Wall Hanging, a beautiful accent in your bedroom, living room, or part of a gallery wall - ethically handcrafted by artisans of St. Mary's Mahila Shikshan Kendra in India. The Wonderful World Wall Hanging is hand-embroidered using the Kathiawad technique, which accents embroidery with small mirrors. Founded by the Dominican Sisters following the closure of textile mills in the area, St. Mary's provides jobs for local women and has for more than 40 years. These women's income has helped educate a generation of children, many of whom have become the first in their families to attend college. It is a beautiful, handmade work of art and a reminder of our aspirations for exploration and understanding in a diverse world.

Perfect!

I know it is pricey, but the details are exquisite! Everytime I look at it I am in awe of the artist who made it by hand! Love filling my home with unique decor that also helps others!

Worth the money! Its Exquisite

The details are exquisit! We bought this for our den, and we couldn't be happier! My only complaint is I wish it came with info on the artisans/group. I love buying fair trade so I can pray for the wonderful people who created it. We paired it with the bamboo hanger. Wish I could post a picture with my review so you can see it! It your on the fence, buy it!

Beautiful piece!!

I ordered this for my office and I LOVE it!! The quality is excellent and so worth the price. It has caught the eyes of my coworkers passing by and I've received so many compliments. It's just a beautiful work of art and really brightens up my work space. I am so glad I splurged for this one :)

so worth it!

This is so beautiful! The embroidery work is exquisite. It is expensive, but so worth the cost! It is a lovely addition to my office, and quite a conversation piece. I love getting to tell people about Ten Thousand Villages when they ask about it.
