A simple West African bead necklace, made from recycled glass. Crushed glass is melted and reformed, then fired in ceramic molds in mud ovens. Ghana, home to the largest bead market in West Africa, is world-famous for its traditional bead-making historically used in weddings, puberty rites and decoration for chiefs and queen mothers.
