STORY

You will never see a glow like this, ever. Each Phoenician Glass Candleholder is one of a kind. And this one comes with sand from the Holy Land. Phoenician glass blowing is a heritage craft going back thousands of years, creating this range of swirling colors starts with recycled soda bottles that are smashed into pieces, then melted in high-temperature ovens. The molten glass is blown using a steel pipe called a kammasha, while "secret family recipes" elements that are added allow the glass blowers to craft each piece with unrepeatable patterns. Making this your new go-to candleholder for exceptional, one-of-a-kind mood lighting! Phoenician glass-blowing is a Natsheh family tradition at Hebron Glass in the West Bank, passed down through generations. Learning this highly-prized, ancient art takes at least five years of apprenticeship.

Not nearly as good as I hoped

So pretty in the picture, but thought I was buying something a little bigger that could at least hold a votive. It arrived well packaged and beautiful to look at. Came with a tealight too. So I went to light it right away. The inside bottom of the glass is rounded so the tealight wobbles. It is heavily swirled in greens and with the tealight lit, very little light came through. I tried to put a votive holder in it to see if it would put out more light, but the holder wasn't large enough to fully seat the glass holder and it wobbled in there too. Very disappointed, Thought about returning it but figured it would be a hassle and didn't want to pay return shipping.

Hi Malinda! We’re so sorry to hear the Phoenician Glass Candleholder did not meet your expectations! This candleholder is currently the smallest of our various Phoenician candleholders. The Desert Sands Candleholder is very similar in look but is larger. We also have our Fiery Sands Candleholder and Desert Sands Votive Holder. Sand should have come with your candleholder to keep the tea light steady. Either way, we’d like to speak with you further about this issue. Please keep your eyes open for an email from us. Thank you!
