Pretty, but small. UPDATED REVIEW: Great customer service

UPDATED REVIEW:
5 stars for customer service!
After posting the review below, Ten Thousand Villages reached out to me, apologizing for a product "not being up to their standards" and offered me a replacement pair of mittens or a refund. I recognize the variable nature of handmade products, and requested replacement mittens, which arrived very quickly. And indeed were much more satisfactory than the first pair. The flap-over part covers my hands, the thumb joint area is better constructed, and mitten edging is not overly tight.
The picture of one mittened hand is the original mitten. Picture of two mittened hands shows the replacement pair.
Thank you Ten Thousand Villages and the partnering artisans!

ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I really wanted to like these mittens, but they are just ok. They're kinda small, even on my smaller-than-most lady hands. The edging on the mitten part is tight, kinda smashing my pinky finger in on my hand. That part did stretch out some with wear, so it's not as tight. The flap-over part isn't super long, and often leaves a gap, not covering my whole hand. And also the thumb joint area of the mittens is kinda thin. Definitely room for improvement on the overall design.

That being said, I like the color of the mittens, and they're pretty warm for not being lined. And of course I love supporting 10,000 Villages and the artisans that they lift!
