Beautiful and hardy

Purchased for water run off on our breezeway. We experience extreme cold and snow/rain. The rain chain is not only beautiful, but very sturdy thus far for us …one year!

I've always wanted one of these

I just love it! it is a work of ART. The sound is meditative. water goes into a rain barrel and I am able to use that water for my garden. BRILLIANT!

Easy installation, works beautifully and looks lovely

Inspired by rain chains we had seen at Longwood Gardens (for much higher cost in their gift store and probably not fair trade), we purchased this one. It was easy to install to the existing spouting. First you must remove your existing downspout, then you simply insert the connector through the drain hole in the gutter and remove any extra cups if necessary. We didn't have to remove any and it appears that if you wanted to put 2 of these chains together you could easily do so. At the base, you could simply connect to the ground using a metal tent peg. We also dug a clay pipe into the ground and filled with gravel to further delay stormwater runoff by sending it deeper into the ground. This is a great fair trade and eco-friendly item -- add it to your stormwater management plan for your house. Looks wonderful and makes a lovely sound as the water cascades from one cup to the next.
