  • Description

Share in the pleasure of new hope. Recycled saris, patched with love, are repurposed into Sacred Sari Throws by women who have left the red light district. Handmade by artisans of Sacred Mark, a workshop of artisan group Prokritee in Bangladesh. The artisans are women who have broken away from the sex trade and now make their living by making soap and handicrafts. The name “Sacred Mark” was inspired by Nobel Prize winning Bengali poet Rabindranath Tagore.

I love my new Sari Throw! I am extremely fond of using different textures in my home! I would love to start collecting these an stack them up on a trunk ! I especially love the fact that purchasing them helps women!! Very, very beautiful!!!

  • Stylish Comfort

    . . . . .

Soft and comforting with the feel of an old favorite- the perfect blanket to cuddle in while reading or sipping tea. Strikingly beautiful and unique in its design and coloring, this sari blanket is the best-priced one I've found in my online research!

  • Exceptional quality and appearance

I love my Sacred Sari Throw. The designs and colors are lovely, and the fabric and workmanship are exceptional. I have put the throw in my washer and dryer, and it still looks like new, and does not need ironing.

  • Beautiful and Meaningful

    . . . . .

This is one of my most treasured 10k Villages items! It is both incredibly warm and large, and has such a wonderful story behind it. Every time I hold it or wrap it around my shoulders, I think of the women who crafted it. I give thanks for their strength and courage.

  • Truly Sacred

    . . . . .

I used it when I pray, sleep, relax, you name it. I truly find comfort in this throw. Perfectly sized, not to big, but just right to comfort your whole body or just shoulders. I brought my significant other one so he could stop using mines. I love it.
