SHOVA Handicrafts

Shova Handicrafts is an organization of women artisans making wheat straw handicrafts. The women purchase raw materials and coordinate production. The income they earn is important in the day-to-day life of their families.

Shova Handicrafts was established in 1996 by a group of women who separated from Mirpur Wheatstraw Center. With years of experience in creating and administering, these women artisans welcomed the challenges of managing their own business. Ten Thousand Villages has purchased products from Shova since 1997.
