All orders placed through our website are shipped from our warehouse in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. We currently only ship to addresses in the United States. For the most up-to-date shipping estimate, please add items to your cart and enter your zipcode into the shopping cart shipping estimator. Shipping costs and times will fluctuate based on what is being purchased, where it is being shipped, any current shipping promotions, high-demand and volume changes, and weather conditions affecting carriers. Orders can be shipped to only one address. To ship to multiple addresses, you will need to place a separate order for each address. Ten Thousand Villages is not responsible for lost or stolen packages.

If you suspect theft, please file a complaint with your local police department.

*Eligible returns must be received within 60 days of purchase and must be in original condition. If your item was purchased at a Ten Thousand Villages store, please contact them directly about their individual store return and refund policies. Purchases: For items returned to the same store they were purchased from, or for ecommerce orders returned to our warehouse, we will issue a credit to your original form of payment for the original transaction, including the cost of the item with tax. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Gifts: Credit will be given as a Ten Thousand Villages gift card for the current price of the item.

We aren’t currently looking to work with new artisan partners. As part of our fair trade principles is that we maintain long-term fair trading relationships with our artisan partners, providing a reliable and steady income. We are committed to reorders from those same groups, which doesn’t often allow us to purchase from new groups. Unfortunately, due to volume, we are unable to respond personally to artisan inquiries.


Occasionally, Ten Thousand Villages offers discounts and promotions as an advantage to our customers. These offers do not affect the fair price our artisans are paid for their crafts. Artisans have already been paid in full.


Our pricing is currently displayed on all of our products.

While we can't guarantee that we can remove the pricing before shipment, if you reach out to our friendly customer support either before or right after placing your order, we can definitely put in a request to our fulfillment center to see if they can remove it for you.

However, please keep in mind that it's not a guarantee because of our current process.

We do not currently have a gift registry program, but recommend using a website that allows for consolidated gift registries where you can choose items from multiple retailers to include in your registry.

When making an online purchase with a gift card, you will need to enter credit card information, even if the entire purchase will be debited from your gift card. If there are sufficient funds on your gift card, your credit card will not be charged. Purchases will be deducted from each card's balance until the value reaches zero dollars.

Ecards are digital giftcard codes that will be emailed same-day to your recipient via email and can be used online only. Physical giftcards are sent in the mail to the recipient and can be redeemed online and at Ten Thousand Villages stores.

Ecards are emailed to your recipient the same day they are purchased, typically within 1 hour. We are unable to schedule ecard emails to send at a later date.

Gift cards ordered alone, and not in combination with other products, will be shipped free of charge and should arrive within 5-7 days via the U.S. Postal Service. Gift cards purchased at the same time as other products will be shipped with the rest of your order using the shipping method you choose during checkout. Gift cards do not affect the cost of shipping. Please note, gift cards must be used to purchase merchandise and cannot be used to purchase new gift cards. You will not be able to use your gift card to pay for any online order that contains a gift card.

You may redeem your gift card online or in any Ten Thousand Villages store. Scratch off label to reveal PIN code. Gift cards purchased in stores may also be used to make purchases online. Not all stores selling Ten Thousand Villages products participate in redeeming Ten Thousand Villages gift cards. If you have a question about a particular store, please contact them directly.

Ten Thousand Villages gift cards do not have an expiration date, and Ten Thousand Villages does not charge service or dormancy fees on unused gift cards. You may check your gift card balance at or at any Ten Thousand Villages store, by calling 800-242-5353.
