The Chopsticks Terracotta Bowl Set is handmade in the Kathmandu Valley by a family of traditional potters. Ceramics are part of daily life in Nepal, from birthing ceremonies to everyday meals. Make every day, every meal a little more special with this textured bowl. The chopsticks are made in natural saj wood, Indian Laurel, that rest beautifully in the detailed notches along the bowl's brim. A Ten Thousand Villages exclusive design.

Sana Hastakala, which means "small handicraft" in Nepali, is a nongovernmental, nonprofit export organization based in Kathmandu. Sana Hastakala works to preserve the rich artistic skill and traditions of Nepali artisans, and provides additional training and marketing assistance to artisans. Eighty percent of the artisans are women; most artisans are uneducated. Sana Hastakala strives to increase its export sales so that additional disadvantaged artisans can improve their economic and social conditions.
