The Cypress tree's silhouette is seen in landscapes all over India. It appears here in slender form, hand block printed on a cotton rectangular tablecloth. Practicing a traditional kalamkari technique that uses natural vegetable dyes, the Cypress Tree Tablecloth is crafted in southeast India by makers with Asha Handicrafts. It features a Cypress-inspired border and floral center.

Interesting but VERY dark

I have a tablecloth that I can live with after washing it in HOT water several times, and then soaking it for hours in a mild beach solution. Had I seen it in person, I would have realized how dark it was overall.

Gorgeous textiles, no need to iron!

Not only do I love the aged, antiqued feel of this fabric, but I put the tablecloth and napkins in the washer and drier and don't need to iron them! This is my favorite set of table linens and the only no-iron ones I own :) Rich colors, wonderful pattern.

Gorgeous and Easy to Maintain

I have the tablecloth, napkins, and runner, and I use them whenever I have company. They are gorgeous and get many compliments. Easy to wash in the washing machine on cold/delicate and then line dry, as I have several times. They maintain their vibrant color and do not shrink.

I just love Ten Thousand Villages and all of the artisans who create so many beautiful items. So happy, as always with my new tablecloth and runner. I've used other patterns in the past to set the tone for all the stones, wood trays, and tiny wooden rakes used for zen gardening groups.
