We’re a global maker-to-market movement that addresses economic injustice. Because every handcrafted object has a life of meaning behind it. We’re a way for you to shop with intention for ethically-sourced handcrafted wares - and to share in the joy of empowering makers in ten thousand villages.
We’re more than a store
As a pioneer of fair trade, we do business differently, putting people and planet first. That means you can trust that every purchase and donation you make directly impacts the life and community of its maker in an under-resourced community. Together we break the cycle of generational poverty and ignite social change. #LiveLifeFair

Celebrating craft and culture
Moses Kirimi, an artist and educator by trade, has a passion for sculpting, painting, and wood carving. He started the craft section of his business as a way of giving unemployed young adults, with little education, a chance to earn a living wage, provide a strong foundation for their future, and inspire creativity.
Our mission
We create opportunities for artisans in developing countries to earn income by bringing their products and stories to our markets through long-term, fair trading relationships.
Our vision
One day all artisans in developing countries will earn a fair wage, be treated with dignity and respect, and be able to live a life of quality.
A circular stamp represents the makers’ mark, the seal of approval and craftsmanship
Lighted doors and windows reflect the life inside artisans’ homes
A continuous line of rooftops reminds us we are all part of the global village
Our name invites everyone into the maker-to-market movement
