With the goal of self-reliance, Prokritee uses handcraft skills to transform low-income communities into ones that grow generational prosperity. Prokritee means “nature” in Bengali. They are expert environmentalists, keeping waste out of landfills and waterways by using renewable materials and methods including recycled sari fabric, eco-friendly dyes, and their award-winning tree-free water hyacinth paper.
