Our old basket broke and I really wanted to get something that wasn't made from plastic. This is a reasonably-priced basket that was almost exactly the size of the old plastic one and it's lovely to hold and carry. I'm so glad we bought this.

I bought two of these last year to use as laundry baskets, as in, hauling laundry. They have not held up. There is straw shedding and the bottoms have broken open. I have woven twine into them to repair, so I can still use them. I’m glad I bought fair trade, but they need to be made to last.
